Apple Rolls

Hi
Here is another delicious bread with a wonderful filling. It is very soft and has a lovely taste and flavour which the filling gives.


INGREDIENTS

Yields:10 Rolls
FOR THE ROLLS
All purpose flour            2 Cups
Instant yeast                     1/2 tbsp
Warm Milk                       3/4 cup
Melted butter                    1/4 cup
Sugar                                 1/3 cup
Salt                                     1/2 tsp
Butter                                1tbsp
FOR THE APPLE FILLING
Apples                         3 (Grated)
Brown sugar               5 tbsp
Lemon juice               1tbsp
Cinnamon powder      2tsp
PREPARATION


FOR THE APPLE FILLING
Place the grated apples and brown sugar in a MICROWAVE SAFE bowl
Microwave on HIGH FOR 5 MINUTES
Stir in the lemon juice and microwave for another 5 minutes in HIGH MODE,
Mix in the ground cinnamon and let it cool
FOR THE OUTER DOUGH
Place the yeast and the flour in a large bowl. Mix well
Combine the milk, water, sugar and salt in another bowl and mix well
 Add the milk water mixture to the flour mixture and knead it into a soft dough.
Transfer this kneaded dough to a floured wooden board and knead it for 10 minutes.
Transfer this to a well oiled bowl. Cover it and let it rise for 1 hr.
Punch it down, and roll it into a rectangle approximately 10″*12″
Brush the dough with butter and spread the filling evenly leaving 1″ of the edged all over
Start rolling from the longer edge and pinch seams to seal.
Place it in a prepared rectangular tray . Cover it loosely and let it rise for another 45 minutes


Preheat the oven to 190C
Bake for 15- 20 minutes or until the loaf turns golden brown


Cut into slices and serve
