Summer this time did not even knock and come. She just decided that she will shine brightly here right from the start. So this is good news to the air conditioner markets. They will see a splurge in sales. Good for the fruit vendor too. The market will soon be flooded with tropical fruits with the king of fruits already showing itself in some select stores. I love mangoes and I just bought a few as the rates are too high. I bought some ripe papaya, orange and few mangoes to make this mango papaya orange smoothie

Mango papaya orange smoothie

We love smoothies as much as we love fresh fruits. In summer, some days are extremely hot. You neither feel like cooking in the heat or do you like to eat the hot cooked food. It is such smoothie that comes to our rescue as such times. This bright orange coloured smoothie is a treat to one’s eye. The papaya and mango in it make it very creamy. The orange gives the required tanginess to the delicious smoothie. I have used just milk as the liquid here. You can choose to add some yoghurt too.

To make a vegan mango papaya orange smoothie, you can substitute the milk with coconut milk or almond milk. Personally, I like to use coconut milk for the smoothie. I do not like to add any sweetener. But for the ones who have a sweet tooth, you can use honey. Again for the vegan version please use the sugar. Personally, I would prefer using coconut sugar and avoiding refined sugar as much as possible

Having said about the ease of having these smoothies as a breakfast, I would also suggest moderating your intake of fruits which are high in glycemic index. Everything in moderation is always good for one’s health. This month for the Food bloggers recipe swap and social media challenge, I have been paired with Lathiya who blogs at Lathis kitchen She has an amazing range of recipes and this tropical smoothie caught my eye. I have replaced the pineapple with papaya only. Thank you Lathiya. Totally loved it.
