Nutri-Pot Rajma Masala

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Kidney beans
  • 2 Onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 Green chilly
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Fresh coriander
  • To Taste Salt

Instructions
 

  • Soak rajma in enough water overnight
  • Dice the onions, ginger and garlic finely
  • Chop the tomatoes finely, puree it and keep aside
  • Preheat the nutri-pot in saute mode
  • Add butter to it and once it melts add the finely chopped ginger, green chillies and garlic and saute for few seconds
  • Now add the finely cut onions and saute till it turns brown
  • Add the tomato puree and cook till the fat seperates
  • Now add the turmeric powder, chillipowder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes
  • Add the drained rajma beans and 1 1/2 cups of water. Mix well
  • Cancel the saute mode. Press the Rajma mode. I usually change the pressure setting to HIgh
  • Cook for 45 minutes and let the pressure settle naturally
  • Add fresh coriander and serve warm with steamed brown rice
