A very healthy summer drink with combines the goodness of finger millet or ragi and buttermilk

- 1/4 Cup Ragi flour
- 2 Cups Water
- 2 Cups Buttermilk
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Asafoetida
- Few Curry leaves
- 1 Green chilly
- To taste Salt
Roast the flour for few minutes
Add water to it and whisk well
Cook on low flame till it is well cooked and starts to thicken. Switch off the flame and let it cool completely
Mix it well with the buttermilk.
Add required amount of salt and asafoetida and whisk well
Heat the oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds. Once it splutters add it to the prpared kanji.
Cut the curry leaves into small pieces and add them to the kanji and serve.
