Ingredients
  

FOR THE SPICE MIX

  • 2 tsp Bengal gram dal
  • 2 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 Red chillies
  • 1 Tbsp Peanus
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida

For the quinoa

  • 1/3 cup Quinoa
  • 2/3 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh coconut
  • to Taste Salt

Instructions
 

FOR THE SPICE MIX

  • Heat the oil in a pan. Add all the ingredients mentioned under the spice mix. Roast it till it starts to brown. Cool it completely. Grind it coarsely in a mixer and keep it stored in an airtight container
  • Wash and rinse the quinoa thoroughly. Soak it in water for 10 minutes. Then drain it completely
  • Cook the quinoa in pressure cooker upto 3 whistles. Let the pressure release normally. Fluff it with the fork and let it cool
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When it splutters add the curry leaves and 2 tbsp of spice mix
  • Next add the cooked quinoa, coconut and necessary salt and mix well. Serve with paapad and raita
