- 1 Cup Bengal gram dal
- 1 Cup Tuvar dal
- 1/2 Cup cumin seeds
- 3/4 Cup Daniya/ Coriander seeds

Dry roast all the ingredients lightly
Grind into a coarse powder
Store in air tight container
To make the kootu, use this kootu powder as suggested in chow chow kootu.
You can choose to use any vegetable to make the kootu
