Rich Chocolate cake

This is one of the recipes which never fail. I
learnt this in my  first baking class
with Mrs Chandri Bhat . The cake is moist and hold very well even if you want
to make a tiered cake.I had baked this for my daughter;s friend who is a
chocoholic. Baked this simple cake and then filled and frosted with ganache and
topped it with ferroro rocher. A perfect chocolate loaded cake
INGREDIENTS
All
purpose flour
1
½ cup
Baking
Powder
1tsp
Soda
1/2tsp
Butter
1/2cup
Powdered
sugar
1cup
Eggs
2
Curds
1/2cup
Cocoa
3tbsp
Boiling
Hot Water
1/2
cup
Vanilla
Essence
1tsp
PREPARATION
·       Preheat
the oven to 160C
·       Grease
and line an 8” round tin
·       Sieve
the all pupose flour with baking powder and baking soda.Keep aside
·       Beat
butter and sugar till light and fluffy
·       Add
eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
·       Beat
in the essence
·       Fold
in the flour mixture alternately with the curds
·       Mix
cocoa in boiling hot water and add this hot mixture to the cake mixture
·       Mix
and pour in a prepared cake tin
·       Bake
for 45 minutes or till a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean

·       Cool
completely and then do the frosting
