Bell Pepper stuffed Lattice Bread

 For the Blogging Marathon this week ,
the chosen theme is Shaped yeasted breads. I was baking a lot when vibha was
here. As she relocated , baking with white flour also came down. But the love for baking and making shapes with the basic yeasted dough prompted me to choose this
theme. Luckily, my son who is here on vacation came to my rescue and tasted it ?

FOR THE BREAD
Recipe Source: Varada’s Kitchen
All purpose flour
2 cups
Instant Yeast
1 tsp
Salt
1/2 tsp
Sugar
1/ tsp
Water
Nearly 1 cup
Chiili Flakes
1 tsp
Oregano
1 tsp
Olive oil
2 tbsp
FOR THE FILLING
Capsicum
1
cup(Yellow, red and green)
Onion
1
Basil
few
leaves
Oil
1tbsp
Oregano
1
tsp
Chilli
Flakes
1
tsp
Salt
To
taste

PREPARATION
FOR THE FILLING
Cut the capsicum and onion into small cubes
Heat oil in a pan, add the onion and saute for a few
minutes. Now add the capsicum and continue to saute for a few seconds
Add salt, chilli flakes and basil. Give a quick stir
and switch off the fire. Let it cool completely
FOR THE BREAD
In the bowl of the stand mixer add the flour, salt,
sugar and yeast. Mix everything well
Now add the water and oil and start kneading in
MINIMUM for 1 minute.
When the hook has gathered all the dough turn the
speed to ONE and let it knead the dough for 7 minutes
Take out the soft pliable dough and transfer it to
a well-greased bowl

Cover it and let it rest in a cool place for 1 hr
for it to double

After an hour, take it out,
punch down, roll the dough into a Circle and cut that into 4 quadrants

Now keep 2 tbsp of
filling in the centre of each quadrant as shown
Make cut on either
side as shown

Now fold over one
part on the center, and then the other part as shown

Make all the four
quadrants the similar way
Transfer them to a
prepared tray and  cover it.Let it rest
for another 30 minutes to rise again
Preheat the oven to
220C
Brush the filled bread with milk or eggwash
Bake them for 20-25
minutes , or till the bottom starts to brown slightly
Switch off the oven
Transfer them to a
wire rack and let them cool.

Serve these
delicious lovely looking bread with a savoury dip!!
