Homemade Marinara Sauce
If you have the store bought pizza or pasta sauce at home, I suggest that you make this delicious quick Marinara. It is definitely very tasty and without the after taste of the additives that some of the store bought leaves.When Joanne suggested that I cook with tomato and onion , I decided that this would be the best dish to compliment her pizza which she has cooked for Ssshhh cooking Secretly
INGREDIENTS

Tomatoes 6
Tomato puree 100 gms(Half the packet)
Onion 1
Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
Bell pepper 1/2(green)
Sugar 1tbsp
Chilli powder 1tsp
Pepper powder 1tsp
Mixed Italian seasonings 1tsp
Oil 1 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
PREPARATION
Cut the onion and capsicum and grind it along with the garlic paste into a smooth paste
Heat the oil in a pan and fry this paste till the raw smell disappears
Then add both the tomato purees, sugar, chilli powder, pepper powder and salt.
Mix well and cook till it starts to boil.
Now reduce the fire and stir occasionally
When it reaches the desired consistency, add the seasonings, cook for a minute and switch off the fire
Let it cool.
Store it in air tight containers in the refrigerator for 10 days
