which pairs very well with hot rice and a dry curry. It is a little different
from the rest of the dal’s that I cook since it uses a wee bit of tamarind for

PREPARATION
Clean and wash the dal
Heat oil in a pressure

chilli powder,Turmeric powder, green chilli, tomatoes and 2 cups of water.

Put the weight on and
cook up to 3 whistles.

subsides, add the tamarind pup and salt, cook in open for 2-3 minutes. Garnish
with coriander and curry leaves
