Thenga Burfi / Coconut Burfi

This is one of the easiest sweets that you can cook without the hassle of the string consistency for the sugar syrup . I decided to attend the Potluck Party Cyber style and thought why not make this and take it along. So here is the simple recipe for a delicious Thenga Burfi
INGREDIENTS
Grated fresh coconut 1 cup
Sugar 1cup or if you like 1 1/4 cup
Water 1tbsp
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Ghee 1tsp
PREPARATION
Mix the coconut, sugar and 1 tbsp water in a deep pan
Heat it on a low flame. The sugar will start to melt
Cook in low flame for another 5-7 minutes to get a slushy consistency
Now increase the heat to medium and after 3-4 minutes you see, that it has started frothing and you can see the whitish texture around the edges…The white coloured lather like texture is the indication that it is time to switch off the fire.Sprinkle the cardamom and mix well
Pour this on a greased plate. You can see that while pouring, it is not runny but is slush like
Tap the plate lightly and the mixture will spread and settle . Allow it to cool for 3-4 minutes
While it is slightly warm, cut with a knife. Let it cool further
Delicious burfi is ready!!!!!
Now take out the pieces and store in an airtight box
