Mutter Ka Nimona
Winter is here and we can see loads of green peas in
most of the vegetable shops. Yes you heard me right J…we
are experiencing a tinge of winter in Chennai too. Anyway with so much of peas
everywhere, it was time to cook a new dish and I had bookmarked this from Cubes
and Juliennes and tweaked it to suit my taste.

PREPARATION
Cut the onions and tomatoes finely and keep aside
Cook the peas in the cooker up to 2 whistles. Let it
cool completely. Now grind it coarsely
in a mixer. Keep aside

Heat Oil in a pan. When it is sufficiently hot add
the cumin seeds. When the cumin sizzles, add the cut onions and saute till it
becomes transparent .

Now reduce the flame and add the ginger garlic paste
and continue to cook in very low flame for a minute

Add the cut tonatoes and the chilli paste and mix
well. Add chilli powder and salt and cook till the tomatoes turn mushy

Now add the coarsely gropund peas and garam masala

Cook for 3 minutes more and switch off the fire
Serve with roti or hot rice
