Peanut Poli

HI
Another snack which I pack for our road travels is
this ground nut poli. This is to take care of my sweet toothJ.My
mother used to make this often when we were kids .
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE OUTER COVERING
All
purpose flour
1cup
Salt
 A pinch
Oil
2Tsp
Water
For Kneading
FOR THE FILLING
Roasted
Peanuts
1/2 cup
White
sesame seeds
1tbsp
Jaggery
1/2cup
PREPARATION
Mix the flour and salt. Add just enough water to
knead it into a soft pliable dough.
Apply oil on the surface and cover it and let it
rest for ½ hour
Meanwhile prepare the filling
Roast the peanuts and sesame seeds.
Grind both of these into a coarse powder
Add the grated jaggery to this and mix well.Keep it
aside
Pinch small balls from the dough
Flatten it a little into a small disc of nearly 4”
in diameter
Keep 1 tbsp of filling inside and cover it again completely
into a ball
Slowly roll this out into a small chapathi. Do not
make it very thin as this may tear the covering
Place a dosa kal on medium flame
Cook the poli on both sides till it starts to brown
Apply ghee to both sides

Serve!!
