Vegatable Dal Pulav

For the day 3, here is a perfect healthy wholesome
one meal dish for a perfect lunch box for kids. It has all the goodness of the
legumes and vegetables and the flavour and texture of pulav.Try this and your
kid will surely ask for more. This pulav is a little different from the usual pulav varieties as it has green gram dal in it. If you think this will be like kichadi., try it out , it certainly is differnt in taste and flavour and texture too
INGREDIENTS

Gram Dal

Ginger

Green

Turmeric
Powder

chillies

Ghee

tbsp
PREPARATION
Heat ghee in a pressure pan
Add cinnamon, cloves, asafoetida, ginger and saute for 1 minute
Now add the vegetables and continue to saute for 1 minute in a low flame
Add rice and dal and add 3 ½ cups of water
Add the necessary salt, garam masala and turmeric powder,mix well and
pressure cook it for 3 whistles
Once the pressure is released, mix well and pack it in the lunch box
with onion raita
