Mango Iced Tea
Ingredients

1 cup Mango PulpI have used Alphonso variety of mango
-
500 ml Water
-
1/2 cup Sugar
-
2 tsp Tea powder
-
1 Lemon
-
Few Ice Cubes

Iced tea is a welcome drink in this hot summer. Though Chennai has the regular evening showers and the temperature is considerably down, iced tea which is flavored by using a fresh seasonal fruit is always looked forward to. One such is this Mango iced tea
Mango Iced Tea
When we flavor the iced tea by using the puree of fresh fruits rather than the artificially flavored ones, the taste is much better. I like to use some pieces of fruit as well in the drink to cut the monotony of the texture. This iced tea flavored by using the king of fruits is amazing. The colour, texture and the flavor make it very appealing.
The other iced tea on this blog space is the Lychee iced tea. You can use many fruits to make this drink. This is my submission for 153 rd Foodie Monday Bloghop where it was decided that we will blog about a recipe using Tea as an ingredient. Check out on the other recipes of the group using tea as a main ingredient

Now boil water with the sugar till the sugar dissolves. Add the tea powder and continue to boil for 2 minutes. Switch off the fire. Let it cool completely. Now add the lemon juice, strain it and chill it in the refrigerator. |

Grind the mango with enough water to make it into a smooth thick juice. Keep aside |

To serve, add lots of ice cubes to the serving glass, top it with ¾ th glass of ice tea and add the fruit juice to it. Add some fresh fruits too and enjoy this flavourful summer drink |

Looks appealing seeing the method and beautiful pictures but would prefer to reserve judgement till I taste once!!
