Green Gram Sweet Sundal

Navaratthri or Nine nights is celebrated twice a year for the onset of summer and the other for the onset of winter. In south India we celebrate it mostly during the months of September/October .Navarathri is divided into sets of three days to adore the three different aspects of mother goddess.
The first three days, we adore Durga-the destroyer of all vices,
the next three days, we adore Lakshmi-the bestower of spiritual wealth and the final three days it is for Saraswathi-the goddess of wisdom. Navarathri also marks the celebration of Golu where the dolls of gods and goddess are artistically displayed and ofcourse the variety of sundal that is offered as prasadam.
