1 Onion
1 Tomato
2 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Turmeric owder
1 tsp Rede chilli powder
1/2 tsp Roasted cumin powder
2 tsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Coriander

I still remember the corn chat which vibha would love every time she visited the mall nearby. This tangy sweet corn chaat can be prepared as a snack for any part of the day. Be it a snack for a kid or a snack for an adult, this tangy chaat is a hit with everyone. We can add vegetables to this chat like bell peppers and carrot. Here I have just used onion and tomato.

I have been paired with Geetanjali Tung who blogs at spoons of flavours. This post is for a group Food for Fest where each month, the members are paired. A common theme is selected based on voting. So, on the basis of voting, this month the chosen theme was a snack for kid’s and I chose to make this tangy-sweet corn which was relished by one and all. This recipe is based on  Sweet corn chaat from Geetanjali Tung

Steam the sweet corn kernels in cooker up to 3 whistles. Keep aside

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and saute till it becomes transparent

Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute for a minute

Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well and cook for another 2 minutes

Now add the cooked corn kernels, mix well and cook for 2 minutes

Switch off the fire. Add lemon juice and mix well. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve
