Pudina Podi

Pudina podi is an accompaniment which pairs up well
with curd rice. This can be prepared and stored in the refrigerator for upto a
month. Similar  preparations can be done
with coriander too.

INGREDIENTS
Mint/Pudina
1
bunch
Urad
dal
2
tbsp
Bengal
gram dal
2tbsp
Red
chillies
5
Oil
2
tsp
Asfoetida
1/4tsp
Salt
To
taste
Tamarind
Small
marble size
PREPARATION
Pick only the leaves from the bunch of the mint.Dry
it well. Shadow dry it. Keep aside
Now heat oil in a pan and roast the dals, chillies till
the dal turns a little brown. Let it cool completely

Now transfer this to a mixer/Grinder, add the
tamarind, asafoetida and salt. Coarsely grind the ingredients. Now add the mint
leaves and run the mixer in pulses. Mix well and serve with Curd rice.
