Winter is here and the market is flooded with peas. I make peas soup regularly and use it to make peas pulav. This time I thought I will cook a snack with peas. Hence decided to make these crispy Mutter samosa. Are you wondering as to how deep fried recipes for my diet chart? Well! it does not. That is why it finds its way to the neighbours home.
Peas samosa is like the regular samosa but with the peas filling. The peas is cooked and ground with chillies and flavoured with garam masala. This samosa is best served with sweet imli chutney and perfectly paired with a hot cup of tea

Mix, the flour, ghee, salt with just enough water and knead it into a very soft pliable dough. Keep it covered for 20 minutes |

Cook the peas in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles. Let it cool completely |

Now add the cooked peas, chilli, garlic, salt to the mixer jar and grind it very coarsely |

Heat a pan with 2 tbsp oil and add the ground paste to it. Add garam masala to this and saute it for 3-4 minutes in low flame. Switch off the fire |

Add lemon juice to the peas mixture and let it cool completely |

Add little water to all purpose flour and make it into a paste. |

Pinch small balls from the dough. Roll it into a thin circle. Cut into two semicircles |

Take each circle and make it into a conical shape. Fill the pocket with filling. Seal it with the maida paste. Make all the samosas in the same manner and keep it aside |

Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. When the oil is sufficiently hot, add the prepared samosas and let it fry till it turns golden brown. Flip it over carefully and let it fry on the other side too.Take it out with the slotted spoon and transfer it to a plate lined with kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil. Serve warm |
