For a while now, we both are off all purpose flour. So the baking with all-purpose flour is only for gifting purpose. Having baked all month those delicious bakes, I finally am tempted to bake something for us. Cakes, muffins and will definitely include sugar in one form or the other. Hence that is ruled out. The best option which was still open to me was to bake a cracker and I baked a small batch of  the whole wheat millet crackers

Though I wanted to bake a gluten-free cracker, I was not sure if my experiment would be a success. Hence I have used the combination of whole wheat flour and millet flour. Here I have not used the multi millet flour. You can choose to use that too. The next batch of these crackers will include finger millet flour. The health benefits of the millets are huge and that of ragi is very widely known. The taste for ragi is an acquired taste. For once you are used to it, the options are limitless. So, in case you want to replace the millet flour with finger millet flour, go ahead and bake those crispy healthy bites. I have not flavoured the dough here since both of us like it plain. We can use the flavourful herbs that are available to make it more interesting

These home-baked crackers are the best options to satiate the cravings which you get around the tea time. The healthy store-bought biscuits as the label displays are definitely not for people like us who are on weight loss regime. I want to loose weight in a healthy way and be fit again so I do need these small bites when my tummy is growling, especially after my evening walk. Whatever is the reason for your short bites craving, these crackers are the best option. You can choose to serve with a dip, I just love to eat it as it is

The other crackers that you can bake are Savoury oats crackers, Crunchy carom seed crackers, Savoury onion crackers and Chilli garlic crackers

It is good to make a treat for ourselves once in a while and if it goes well with the diet without messing it, then it would be fantastic. These crackers look like an awesome treat for those cravings.
