Bengal gram in Kannada is called as kadalebele. This Kadalebele kosambiri is a type of salad where we soak the gram dal and then coconut, chilli, cucumber and salt are added to it. When served with the Karnataka thali, it tastes amazing.

Wah and cut the cucumber in small pieces |

Soak the gram dal in water for 1-2 hrs |

Drain it completely |

Transfer the chilli, soaked gram dal and salt to a jar of the blender |

Run the blender in pulses to grind it coarsely |

Transfer it to a serving jar. |

Add the finely cut cucumber, lemon juice and coconut to this. Mix well and serve |

Tempering with mustard is optional |
