300gms Sugar
500 gms Wheat flour
250 gms Milk
2 tbsp Sugar
1.5 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
2tsp Baking Soda
FOR THE ICING
50gms Butter
500 gms Icing sugar
4 tbsp Strong Coffee
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
As required Colourful sprinkles

Mokkapalat is a finnish dessert and is like a brownie. It is soft moist and the taste is taken to an enitirely different level with the icing. Very easy to prepare and if you have a chocoholic at home, it will disappear fast too. Here is a recipe from mammituokkonen.Since I wanted very little quantity to be baked, I prepared 1/4 th the quantity mentioned in the recipe.The colourful sprinkles are from Munich. Vibha makes it a point to get things which are not available here. Thank you vibha. It does look very colourful

FOR THE CAKE

Preheat the oven to 200C

Beat the butter and sugar till creamy. Add the vinegar and milk and beat well

Now mix in the dry ingredients

Transfer this to a shallow tin lined with parchment paper

Bake for 200 mins or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted in the center

FOR THE ICING

Whisk all the ingredients well into a smooth ixture

Transfer the cake to a cooling rack.Spread the icing on the cake after it has cooled down a little. Cut into squares. Top it with the colourful sprinkles and serve
