Superb Veena, I simply love this!..must surely make a wonderful sweet for festivals!
Next in the series of apple desserts is Apple almond halwa. You must have already tasted apple halwa and almond halwa and the combination of the two takes this dessert to a new level.
This Halwa like the other two apple desserts is again fairly easy to dish out and does not consume more time. The Almonds which are soaked, ground to a smooth paste gives the flavour and richness to the texture of the Halwa. Further, the addition of the Milk powder enhances the taste and texture.
If there are apples at home crying for attention, then this is another way of using it judiciously. Of course you do need to keep an eye on the fat and sugar that you might consume . So my advise is always to make in small quantities so that you do not over eat and cause harm to your lovely self instead taste and relish very little quantity and enjoy eating delicacies and continuing to live healthy too

Soak the almonds in luke warm water for 30 mins. Remove the skin and grind it into very smooth paste with just enough water. Keep aside |
2

|
Remove the skin of the apple, core it and grate it finely. Since the apple I used was very juicy, I squeezed out the juice before using the apple |
3
Done
|
Heat the ghee in a pan on a low heat, add the grated apple and saute it till the moisture is completely absorbed. |

Now add the ground almond paste and sugar to this and mix well.Continue to cook in low flame for another 5 minutes, stirring well. |

|
Now add milk powder and cardamom powder, mix well, cook in low flame till everything comes together and with a slush like texture. |

At this point , switch off the fire, transfer this to the serving bowl, top with sliced almonds and serve warm |
